Public Records at the Seminole County Property Appraiser’s Office
It is the policy of the Seminole County Property Appraiser’s Office to comply with Florida’s public records law and Florida’s retention schedule for public records. Unless exempt or confidential, public records can be obtained via request.
There is no particular format for a public records request. Requests may be made in writing or orally. To help us expedite and avoid delays in processing your request, please be as detailed as possible.
The following records are not available at the Property Appraiser's Office:
Recorded Documents (Deeds, Mortgages, Liens, etc.): These documents are recorded with the Clerk's office. Please visit the Seminole County Clerk of Court's website or call their office at 407-665-4405.
Surveys: Our office does not receive copies of official surveys. Contact your Title Insurance or Mortgage Company.

Contact the Custodian of Public Records!
- If the person making the records request has requested copies of the documents, our office may charge 15 cents per one-sided copy or 20 cents per two-sided copy.
- If retrieving or copying the public records requires extensive use of information technology resources or clerical and/or supervisory assistance, the office may assess a reasonable service charge based on the office's actual incurred costs. An estimate of the charges will be given to the requestor prior to responding to the request. All charges will be collected before producing the requested documents.
